A paraphilia is an attraction to an unregular and extreme sexual behavior. A fetish could become a paraphillia if it gets harmful or obsessive. A fetish just uses physical objects or body parts for sexual purposes. Some people would rather be with their fetish than another person. The main difference between a paraphilia and a fetish, is that a paraphilia is much more extreme and harmful than a fetish. An example of a paraphilia would be pedophilia, an attraction to children. This is a paraphilia because it’s extremely harmful to the person with the paraphilia and any others who may be involved.
